The inaugural function of 69th Wildlife week was held at New Auditorium, JAP

The inaugural function of 69th Wildlife week was held at New Auditorium, JAP. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. S.P. Yadav, Member Secretary, NTCA and ADG (FC), MoEF, and Presided over by Dr. Sanjay Srivatsava, PCCF (HOFF). Kulwant Singh, PCCF, Wildlife Shashikar Samatha,PCCF and Chairman, JSPCB, S.R. Natesha, CCF Wildlife senior forest officers, School Children, Village committee members, public and others were present. The school children presented dance, debate and drawings on the occasion. The outstanding performance of three each forest front line staff and EDC/VFC category were chosen and felicitated on the occasion. The compendium on grassland management, one on grass identification and a pamplet on Human-Elephant Conflict was also released on the occasion. The chief guest appreciated the efforts of state government and the forest department in contribution towards increasing the forest cover of the state. Further, he expressed that by the efforts of the forest department the wildlife scenario in the state is also improving which will boost the state

Review meeting of Senior forest officers of the state and PTR was held at Radisson Blue hotel by Member Secretary, NTCA and he appreciated the new efforts for improving the habitat. Specially the efforts for relocation of villages in the core area taken by the department to be done on priority at the earliest, he said. The efforts for Grassland land development and water hole creation was appreciated. The PCCF (HoFF), PCCF, Wildlife and all senior officers were present during the meeting.
